几年来,城郊公社扣北大队第一生产队大搞大白菜育苗移栽的科学试验,获得夏菜、秋菜双丰收。1974年秋菜平均亩产19,200斤,赶上或超过了直播大白菜的产量。过去每到秋菜播种适期,绝大部分夏菜生育期还没有结束,不得不清地拔秧,影响了夏菜的产量和品质。否则延晚播种秋菜,由于生育期短也影响秋菜产量。同时,大白菜播种季节,农活往往排不开。
