中国著名的语言学家、85岁高龄的吕叔湘先生,少年时曾在丹阳县实验小学求学,20年代曾任丹阳县中学教务主任。不久前吕老给丹阳市中学(原丹阳县中)校长的信中说:“我的文集已交商务印书馆出版,可得稿费三万元,决定将二万元捐献给丹阳市中学,一万元捐献给丹阳市实验小学,作为优秀学生奖学金和购置学生阅读的图书的基金……。”
The famous linguist in China, 85-year-old Mr. Lu Shuxiang, had studied in Danyang County Experimental Primary School when he was a teenager. In the 1920s, he was director of Danyang middle school education. Not long ago, Luoyuan gave a letter to the principal of Danyang Middle School (formerly Danyang Middle School) saying: “My collection has been handed over to the Commercial Press for publication, with a draft fee of 30,000 yuan and a decision of donating 20,000 yuan to Danyang Middle School Ten thousand yuan donated to Danyang Experimental Primary School, as outstanding student scholarship and purchase of books for students to read the fund ...... ”
