我校地处杭州湾畔的国有大型企业石化股份有限公司职工生活区。学生大多是石化股份公司员工子弟。二十多年前,他们的父辈凭着艰苦奋斗的精神,在茫茫海滩上建起了一座新型工业城市。如何使儿辈们继承父辈的光荣传统,将来成为能挑起祖国建设重担的一代?我们的学生奋斗精神的现状又如何?1993年,我们对本校四年级314名学生作了与奋斗精神有关的意志品质现状调查。调查结果显示:新的一代,处在平和、安宁的环境和优裕的生活条件下,得到的娇宠关爱多,受的磨砺少,普遍存在脆弱、稚嫩、懒散现象,经不起风雨,受不了挫折,明显缺乏生存意识和奋斗精神。
