王伯敏,浙江台州人,1924年生,著名美术史论家、画家。1947年毕业于上海美专。现为中国美术学院教授,美术学博士生导师,杭州画院名誉院长,杭州市美术家协会名誉主席。1991年国务院表彰王伯敏“为发展我国文化艺术事业作出了突出贡献”,获得国家奖励的殊荣。其传略载于国际名人录。 半个世纪以来,学者王伯敏先生运用辩证唯物主义的史学观,注重对史料的考据,并借助于哲学、美学、文学以及民俗学,建构起中国美术史学的大框架。他从宏观出发,并考虑到中国近现代对美术史研究的实际状况,拟订了较庞大的美术史研究计划,以史学家宏大的气度和契而不舍的精神,从1950年至1996年完成了五部系统性较强的美术史专著。这五部美术史著作是:
Wang Boyin, Taizhou, Zhejiang, born in 1924, a famous art historian and painter. 1947 graduated from Shanghai United College. He is now a professor at China Academy of Art, a doctoral supervisor in fine arts, honorary president of Hangzhou Art Academy, honorary chairman of Hangzhou Artists Association. In 1991, the State Council commended Wang Boyin for his outstanding contributions to the development of China’s cultural and arts undertakings and won the honors of the state awards.
