From May 17 to May 18, 2011, the 8th China-Russia Economic and Social Development Co-sponsored by the Russian Research Center of the Compilation and Translation Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the Organizing Committee of the Russian Yaroslavl “Global Policy Forum” and the Central Compilation and Translation Press Comparative Forum held in Beijing. The forum consists of three parts: the conference on Democracy and Modernization - A Debate on the Challenges of the 21st Century, the International Symposium on “Democracy in a Multi-ethnic Society” and Vladislav Innozentv and Valery Fadeyev Academic Symposium. The experts and scholars attending the forum were from the Compilation and Translation Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Development Research Center of the State Council, the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, the State Administration Institute, Beijing University
