高句丽在同中原、百济、新罗及周边部族的战争中虏获了大量的人口。高句丽统治集团为了实现政治军事利益的最大化,对这些掳掠人口采取了不同的处置方式,使其在高句丽的命运各不相同。总体上,掳掠人口对高句丽国力的增强、王权的巩固起到了不可低估的作用。
Koguryo captured a large population during the war with Central Plains, Baekje, Silla and the surrounding tribes. In order to maximize the political and military interests, the Koguryo ruling clique adopted different methods of handling these captives to make their fate different in Goguryeo. In general, the captive population has played a role that can not be underestimated over the enhancement of the national power of Goguryeo and the consolidation of monarchy.
