匈牙利和南斯拉夫面临着经济和技术发展的长期停滞和通货膨胀这个问题。匈牙利的经济学家涅尔什和塔图斯始终把匈牙利改革了的体制称为“卖方市场”,甚至在经济衰退时期,卖方仍然保持着在市场上的优势。这种情况似乎不符合通过改革来抑制停滞的设想。正如下图所示,这同西方经济理论创造的“停滞膨胀”这一术语所描述的处境很相似。
Hungary and Yugoslavia face the problem of long-term economic and technological stagnation and inflation. Hungary’s economists Niels and Tatus have always referred to the Hungarian system of reforms as the “seller’s market,” and the seller retains market advantages even during the economic downturn. This situation does not seem to be in keeping with the idea of curbing the stagnation through reforms. As the chart below shows, this is similar to the one described by the term “stagflation” created by Western economic theory.
