榆树是我省绿化的重要速生乡土树种,它适应性强,繁殖容易,用途广,因此颇受各级林业部门和社员群众的欢迎。但是,人们过去却没有充分认识榆树籽的潜力,一般只作繁殖或生食用。最近,我所科技人员根据毛主席关于“要把国民经济搞上去”的指示,对榆树籽榨油进行了试验。结果表明,每百斤榆籽净出油21斤;经纯化尚得16斤。用榆油榨油条,没有别味。所以值得各地引起重视。
Elm tree is an important fast-growing native tree species in our province. It is adaptable, easy to reproduce and has wide range of uses. Therefore, it is popular with the forestry departments and members of the public at all levels. However, people in the past did not fully understand the potential of elm seeds, generally only for breeding or raw food. Recently, our scientific and technical personnel have conducted experiments on elm seed oil extraction according to Chairman Mao’s instructions on “to make the national economy go up”. The results show that every 100 pounds of elm seed net oil 21 pounds; still purified by 16 pounds. Use Yuyou fritters, no other flavor. So it is worth all over the attention.
