核酸中的重要组分尿嘧啶及其衍生物曾广泛用作医药,植物激素等;研究尿嘧啶的化学性质对揭示衰老,致癌等生命现象也有重要意义.因此,有关尿嘧啶及其衍生物的合成,反应及性质的研究一直吸引着人们的极大兴趣.Matsuura等通过对5-卤尿嘧啶与吲哚(?)化合物的光化学偶合反应的研究发现某些吲哚取代的尿嘧啶衍生物可用作抗癌药物;并且发现这类光偶合反应与生物体紫外线辐射损伤的机理有密切关系.
