邮电局所是直接为用户办理邮电业务的服务机构,它的设置、布局状况如何是邮电通信服务水平的一个重要标志。到2000年,全国邮电要实现翻三番的奋斗目标,邮电局所的设置、布局水平相应地也将有一个大的发展。因此,合理规划邮电局所的设置、布局水平是非常重要的问题。建国以来,四川邮电局所设置水平不断提高,局所数量和分布面都有了很大改善。1984年末,全省邮电局所已达到6,117处,为1949年的2.1倍。其中,设在农村地区的局所5,483处,占全省邮电局所总数的89.64％;自办局所2862处,占全省邮电
