音乐剧《悲惨世界》自1985年在伦敦上演后，红遍全球。里面的多首歌曲均已成为经典。如今，舞台剧搬上银幕，由电影明星现场演唱，现场收声，将声音表演与形体表演彻底融为一体，产生了巨大的感染力。影片《悲惨世界》获得第85届奥斯卡多项大奖，影星安妮·海瑟薇也因精湛的演技获得最佳女配角奖。
