浦江清,1904年出生于上海松江,家境清贫,却聪颖好学,1926年从东南大学西洋文学系毕业后,担任清华学校研究院国学门导师陈寅恪的助教。课余,他学习梵文、满洲文、法文、德文。1928年,清华研究院国学门并入中国文学系后,浦江清担任大一国文课的教员,1929年又增加了中国文学史课的教学任务,直到1937年秋。三联书店1999年出版的浦江清《清华园日记·西行日记(增补本)》中,“清华园日记
Pujiang Qing, born in Songjiang, Shanghai in 1904, was in a poor family. However, he was clever and studious. After graduating from the Department of Western Literature of Southeast University in 1926, he acted as a tutor for Chen Yinque, a Guoxue Mentor of Tsinghua School Research Institute. After school, he studied Sanskrit, Manchurian, French and German. In 1928, after Tsinghua University’s Guoxue Gate was incorporated into the Department of Chinese Literature, Pu Jiangqing served as a teacher of freshman’s national Chinese class. In 1929, he added the teaching task of history of Chinese literature until the autumn of 1937.
