王子云先生(18 97-1990)是我 国著名美术教育家、美 术史论家和美术家,生 前曾任中国美协顾问, 陕西省美协名誉主席, 西安美术学院教授。为 了继承王子云先生热爱 祖国传统文化,对美术事业锲而不舍的精神和成就,西安美院于1997年11月举办了“纪念王子云先生诞辰一百周年学术研讨会”及“王子云生平·作品展”。研讨会于11月28日、29日在西安美院举行,来自省内外专家、学者近百人参加了会议。会议由《西北美术》副主编陈云岗和史论教研室李凇副教授主持。与会者对王子云先生为人师表的高尚品德及其美术教育、美术考古与美术史论研究、美术创作成就进行了充分的肯定。现将与会者主要发言摘录如下:
Mr. Wang Ziyun (1897-1990) is a famous art educator, art historian and artist in China. Before his death, Mr. Wang Ziyun was an adviser to China Artists Association, honorary chairman of Shaanxi Association of Fine Arts, and professor of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts. In order to inherit Mr. Wang Ziyun’s passion for the traditional culture of the motherland and the perseverance and accomplishment of fine arts, the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts held ”Symposium for the Centenary of the Birth of Mr. Wang Ziyun“ and ”Life of Prince Wang Yun“ in November 1997 exhibition”. The seminar was held in Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts on November 28 and 29, and nearly 100 experts and scholars from inside and outside the province attended the conference. The meeting was presided over by Chen Yungang, associate editor of Northwestern Art and Associate Professor Li Kui, Department of History. Attendees fully affirmed the noble character of Mr. Wang Ziyun, his art education, the research of art archeology and history of art, and the achievements in art creation.
