公路桥涵设计规范中,建议采用拖拉机、汽车等代荷载来设计桥梁,以减少计算工作量。规范中的等代荷载表,仅适用于拖拉机、汽车的技术指标和布置图式,符合规范规定的情况。但有时却要用没有列入规范中的拖拉机、汽车、汽车列车来设计,或验算某些桥梁,和其他构造物。此时,就不能使用那些现成的等代荷载表。用实际荷载进行计算,又不如用等代荷载简便。
