全世界约有豆科植物500余属,12,000余种;我国约有130余属,1,000余种,但是作为栽培的种类不多。豆科牧草营养价值高,富含蛋白质及维生素、矿物质,是各类牲畜的优良饲草。豆科牧草根系具根瘤,能固定空气中的氮。豆科牧草多数为草本,少数为灌木或乔木。下面介绍的仅是适合我国栽培的主要豆科牧草。
There are about more than 500 genera and more than 12,000 legumes in the world. There are about 130 genus and more than 1,000 species in our country, but there are not many species cultivated as legumes. Legume forage high nutritional value, rich in protein and vitamins, minerals, is all kinds of livestock fine forage. Legumes root nodules, can fix the nitrogen in the air. Leguminous forages are mostly herbs, and a few are shrubs or trees. Described below is only suitable for cultivation of our main legume forage.
