在明朝万历前期张居正执政的十年里,围绕内阁首辅张居正,明朝政坛兴起了一股政治力量,他们的籍贯皆为湖广布政司(大致为今湖北、湖南地区),被部分时人称为“楚党”。万历前期的“楚党”是指以张居正为首的湖广籍官僚群体,他们是张居正施政的重要依靠,在张居正“夺情”风波等政治斗争中给予了张居正支持,并对张居正的改革及彼时的边疆治理作出了贡献,也因此在张居正去世后遭受了严重打击。总体而言,他们基本支持改革,践行张居正的治边之策,对“万历中兴”的出现起到了重要的推动作用,故应予以总体正面的评价。
During the ten years in the early Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty when Zhang Juzheng was in power, Zhang Juzheng, the first deputy to the cabinet, emerged as a political force in Ming political circles. In the early Wanli period, the “Chu Dang” refers to a group of broad-based bureaucrats led by Zhang Juzheng, who are important relies for Zhang Juzheng’s administration. Zhang Juzheng was given support in the political struggle such as Zhang Juzheng’s “Seizure of Love” Reform and the governance of the country at the time contributed to, so after the death of Zhang Juzheng suffered a serious blow. Overall, they basically supported the reform and practiced Zhang Juzheng’s policy of managing the land. They played an important role in promoting the emergence of Wanli ZTE. Therefore, they should give an overall positive assessment.
