Established in 1972, the men’s task force was tasked with developing new, safe, effective and repeatable methods of male contraception. This is a wide range of research activities being conducted in the field of masculinity. Many of them are Chinese male scientists who work abroad with specialized institutes supported by the WHO funded by the WHO Department of Human Reproductive Planning. The current multi-center study in 15 centers in 9 countries, including China, is designed to assess testosterone-induced azoospermia and severe oligozoospermia. The significant finding of this center study supported by the Task Force is that men of different races respond differently to steroid hormonal contraceptives.
