抗日战争初期,发生一桩震惊中外的“长沙大火”事件。1938年11月13日凌晨2时,湖南省城长沙的城防军警“奉命”放火焚烧长沙全城建筑及街巷民房,实施所谓“焦土抗战”。好端端的一座文化名城被烧毁十之七八,全城成为废墟,满目疮痍,其状之惨,目不忍睹! 大火后,笔者奉军委会政治部部长陈诚派令,途经长沙赴九战区前线工作。在前线,笔者曾对“长沙大火”事件的内情进行调查。 1938年10月25日武汉沦陷,不数日日军逼近
