本文从词典使用者及英语教师的双重角度探讨了这部词典的编纂特 点,也分析了尚存在的不足之处。该词典在国内英语教学界受到广泛的认 可,笔者认为,这主要归功于它的以下编纂特色:1)结合中国学生特点,词 语搭配先行。2)利用联想法处理词汇。3)强调语体差异,注重语言的实用 性。4)重视语言的文化内涵。此外,它尚存在着一些不足与疏漏之处:1) 收词量有限。2)对于多数词汇的处理流于表面。3)本见体系不完善。 4) 词典的部分排版不合理。然而总的来看,该词典坚持的是“为使用者着想” 的编纂思路,是一部风格鲜明、质量上乘的作品。
This paper discusses the features of this dictionary from the dual point of view of the dictionary users and English teachers, and analyzes the existing shortcomings. The dictionary is widely recognized in the domestic English teaching community. The author believes that this is mainly due to its following compilation features: 1) Combining the characteristics of Chinese students, the collocation of the words first. 2) Use the associative method to process the vocabulary. 3) Emphasize the difference of style and focus on the practicability of language. 4) Pay attention to the cultural connotation of language. In addition, there are still some shortcomings and omissions: 1) limited amount of words collected. 2) For the majority of vocabulary processing flow to the surface. 3) See the system is not perfect. 4) part of the dictionary typesetting unreasonable. However, on the whole, the dictionary insists on the compilation idea of “for the sake of users” and is a distinctive style and high quality work.
