In recent decades, the high enrichment of gold in high-carbon sedimentary metamorphic rocks is attracting many researchers’ attention. The task of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of gold redistribution in rocks as gold is formed in black shales, which may serve as a new point of view to explain conflicting assumptions about the genesis of such deposits. The object of our study is the ore of a deposit containing finely divided gold, which is produced in the altered rocks and quartz veins and is closely related to sulphide. The ore bodies are distributed in the Lower Paleogene Beng Formation carbonaceous siltstone and carbon-silica-mica shale, interbedded with non-carbonaceous siltstone, sandstone and sericite-chlorite shale.
