新疆经济报创刊于1991年,是自治区人民政府主管主办的机关报。创刊之初,报纸为对开周三版,仅有汉文一种文版,发行量3000份左右,国有资产不足10万元,职工50多人。经过17年的发展,到2007年,新疆经济报系日平均出报160多个版,日总发行量60多万份,资产总额5.13亿元,年经营总额3亿多元,拥有8报5刊2个网站,全资子公司和控股公司11家,职工总数3800多人,成为新疆乃至西部地区规模最大的报业体。
Xinjiang Economic Daily was founded in 1991 and is the organ newspaper hosted by the director of the autonomous region’s people’s government. The beginning of the publication, the newspaper opened on Wednesday, only a Chinese version, the circulation of about 3000, state-owned assets less than 100,000 yuan, more than 50 employees. After 17 years of development, by 2007, Xinjiang Daily Economic Daily reported an average of more than 160 editions a day, with a total circulation of more than 600,000 copies and a total assets of 513 million yuan. The total annual operating income is more than 300 million yuan, 2 websites, 11 wholly-owned subsidiaries and holding companies, with a total workforce of more than 3,800, making it the largest newspaper body in Xinjiang and even the western region.
