From the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to the national “two sessions” in March this year, the political arena in China will be replaced by the new ones. While earnestly paying attention to the transfer of power by the two generations of leaders, people should not ignore another generational change in politics: the “returnees” groups studying in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe in the 1950s quietly appeared. From the first generation of “Children in America” to the “returnees” group today, a group of overseas students carry the dream of rejuvenating the Chinese nation and rejuvenating the Chinese nation, sharing the same honor and disgrace with the process of China's modernization. After a century of vicissitudes, the process of modernization and social transformation in China initiated by the Westernization Movement has gone through difficult ups and downs. As the Yellow River enters the sea, its dream of “returnees” has continued to this day.
