中国是历史文明古国,中国雕塑文化传承至今,经历了以观赏性、实用性、文化性、社会性等过程。在中国的现代雕塑中,雕塑的社会性题材越来越多地被艺术家们重视。雕塑能够反应社会的生活、文化等,而社会也会对雕塑的题材产生深远的影响。雕塑题材的社会性不仅是雕塑的一种取材的性质,更是社会价值与社会文化的一种体现。随着社会的快速发展,雕塑题材的社会性应当引起我们更多的思考。
