一目的和生产指标为发掘本省养蜂生产潜力,特别是广大山区蜜源的探索和利用,找出四季不断繁殖、生产的途径,全场同志鼓足干劲,响应中国农业科学院养蜂研究所的倡议,在院党委和省农业厅特产处及当地各公社养蜂场鼓励支持下,于1958年11月10日以本场选育意大利品种蜜蜂足10框,子脾足9.1框(标准框)为起点,组织年产千斤蜜的试验。本试验自1958年11月10日—1959年11月10日足壹周年中,前后饲糖284.5斤,供给121框旧巢脾,计共采蜜1,389斤;蜜蜂增殖38.5框:造脾69框及收蜡5.3斤;此外巢内存蜜尚增加10.5斤(表1、图1)。
