In 1986 October, I was fortunate enough to receive an invitation, participated in the opening ceremony of the “Belgian painter Michael Sui Lai Lele exhibition” held in the China Art Museum. During my visit, there was a middle-aged man who asked me: “Did Mr. Lu Xun object to studying Mai Sule Leh in the past?” This aroused my deep consideration. Something wrong, this question, I think it is brought by a misunderstanding. In his early years, Mr. Lu Xun once said in his letter to Kim Jong-il: “There are four kinds of woodcut, which I did not know, but I can not see it.” In his letter to Zhao Jiali, “M ’S woodcut black and white, however, the most difficult to learn ............, ”added:" However, many references, I think, in woodcut students, will be very useful.
