HPI(主机接口)是TEXASINSTUMENTS(TI)新一代、高性能DSP上配置的与主机进行通信的片内外设。与DMA不同,HPI的引脚全部为专用,它可以实现并行、高速的数据传送。下文从实用的角度分析了传统的单片处理器与主机通信的硬件要求和HPI的优越性:在硬件连接上基本作到不需附加芯片。同时着重介绍了HPI引脚的分类和作用,给出了HPI与PC/AT机扩展接口的连接图,并提供了HPI的两个重要应用的范例:交换数据和自举系统。
The HPI (Host Interface) is an on-chip peripheral configured with TEXASINSTUMENTS (TI) to communicate with the host configured on a new generation of high-performance DSPs. Unlike DMA, all HPI pins are dedicated, allowing parallel, high-speed data transfer. The following article from a practical point of view of the traditional single-chip processor and host communication hardware requirements and HPI superiority: the basic hardware connection to do without additional chips. At the same time, the classification and function of HPI pins are highlighted. The connection diagram between HPI and PC / AT expansion interface is given and two important examples of HPI are provided: exchange data and bootstrap system.
