牡丹葱王是山东省曹县大葱研究协会培育的杂交型优质大葱新品种。该品种在河北、四川、河南、安徽、新疆、山东、广西等地的大葱种植区示范推广,均获得成功。秋播,平均亩产鲜葱1万公斤;春播,一般亩产7500-8000公斤,比对照品种增产50%左右。该品种为弦线状根系,根长30-40厘米,侧根少,独棵不分蘖,短缩茎扁球状,其上着生多层管状叶鞘,多层叶鞘裹着4-6个幼叶,构成食用器官假茎,管状叶幼嫩时也可食用。该品种株型粗大,不易抽薹。成株高160-180厘米,有绿色管状叶6-8片,管状叶
