随着2008年北京奥运会的临近,作为东道主的北京正全力为奥运的顺利召开进行着准备。据有关专家预测,奥运期间对蔬菜产品的消费种类为150多种,总计5000吨左右。为此,北京市启动了“优质奥运蔬菜专用品种引进、筛选及配套技术示范与应用”项目,从蔬菜品种引进、栽培制度与技术管理上进行引进、示范与研究,并将在3年内建成4000公顷绿色无公害奥运蔬菜基地,为2008年奥运会供应蔬菜。中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所依托本所优势,与国外建立广泛合作关系,引进了不同国家与地区的蔬菜品种,并在北京地区进行种植,以确认其在北京地区生长适应性,为品种引进提供依据。本刊将进行系列刊发,以飨读者。
With the 2008 Beijing Olympics approaching, Beijing, as host, is making every effort to prepare for the successful Olympic Games.
