卢卡斯叙事博物馆选址芝加哥市中心密歇根湖畔的芝加哥博物馆公园,紧邻芝加哥学派代表人物密斯-凡-德罗设计的迈考密克展览中心,占地面积17英亩,建筑规模4万平米。预计2018年建成之后,将会成为芝加哥新的标志性文化和教育中心,它将展出多达50万件电影纪念品,成为民众体验叙事艺术以及了解视觉成像(从插图到电影院和数字艺术)发展历程的聚集地。
Lucas Narrative Museum sits Chicago Museum Park on the shores of Lake Michigan in downtown Chicago, next to the McCormick Place, home of the Chicago School’s iconic Mies van der Rohe, and covers an area of 17 acres and a building size of 40,000 square meters. When completed in 2018, it is expected to become Chicago’s new iconic cultural and educational center that will showcase as many as 500,000 film memorabilia as a way for people to experience narrative art and to understand the development of visual imaging (from illustration to cinema and digital art) History of the gathering place.
