The Czechoslovak musical instrument industry is dominated by the production of traditional instruments, with more than 40 manufacturing plants, including pianos, brass, woodwinds, percussion instruments, accordion, harmonica, pipe organ and electronic musical instruments. Czechoslovakia’s upright pianos and grand pianos are over 100 years old. There are currently four brands that are more popular in the international market: Petrof, Foster, Scholze and Rosler.
