至少在秦汉,陕西就有茶的芬芳了。秦岭山下,午子茶的甘醇也流淌有千年了。午子仙毫之名,与道家有着不解缘份,这种茶,原产于陕西省西乡县南道教圣地午子山,因山而得茶名。西乡县隶属汉中,历史上曾有:“男废耕,女废织,其民昼夜不制茶不休之举”的记载。据《明史食货志》记载,西乡在明初是朝廷“以茶易马”的主要集散地之一。
