在全息光弹仪中,当模型受有应力时,将同时产生两族条纹,一族是等差线,另一族是等和线。前一族条纹与主应力差有关,后一族条纹与主应力值有关。这两组条纹图案并非完全独立,而是互相调制,以至对模型某些区域的条纹图案难于作出解释。因此,对如何分离这两族条纹,一些研究者提出了若干单独获得等差线和等和线的实验方法。本文是在应用了这些方法之后,进一步研制和应用法拉弟效应分离条纹的总结,它较之其他的条纹分离方法更为优越。这种方法是利用光束两次通过模型并加了一个法拉弟旋光器,因而加载时可以完全消除掉等差线对等和线的影响。这样的旋光方法,对于动荷模型的研究及三维全息光弹性的研究将具有相当的价值。文中还提出了一种方法,并进行了初步试验。即应用法拉弟旋光器可以对过去光弹性中以及全息光弹性中使用手动的或机械的办法测取等倾线的做法进行改革。它不再需要使用同步电机或手动操作同步旋转起偏镜和检偏镜的机械机构,而代之以控制电钮来完成。这种方法在使用外腔式激光器时更显示其必要性。根据同样的道理,还提出了采用法拉弟旋光器对等差线分数级条纹补偿,用控制电钮和读取电流值取代旋转分析镜和读取转角。
