教育部最新颁布的高校英语专业教学大纲中规定:“高级英语是一门训练学生综合英语技能尤其是阅读理解、语法修辞与写作能力的课程。”根据这一规定,高级英语这一课程的教学势必要打破“教师主讲—学生主听”这一传统教学模式,而应在培养学生的独立思考与判断能力、加强其综合能力这些方面下功夫,这在当今教学环境已发生巨大变化的情况下显得尤为重要。与本一本二院校的学生相比,本三院校的学生普遍来讲基础不如前者扎实,学习主动性也无法和前者相比,因此,如何有效地在本三院校进行高级英语这样一门重要课程的讲授是迫在眉睫的问题。
