Social media, the more the more lonely Many people use social media every day, look at the circle of friends, brushing microblogging. However, a new study shows that the more young people use social media, the more likely they are to feel isolated from society. Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh recruited 1,787 U.S. adults (ages 19-32) and asked them about the time and frequency of using 11 popular social media sites. They use PROMIS (Patient Self Assessment Evaluation Information System) to enable participants to measure their social isolation by reporting on their functions, symptoms, behaviors and feelings. In general, the more frequently you login to social media, the lower your sense of social belonging, the less affiliations you have with others, the less fortunate your relationship is
