开封是我国七大古都之一,历史上六个朝代在此建都。悠久的历史,积淀了丰厚建筑文化和古城文明。在古都搞建设,如何继承古城文明,沿着传统的建筑文脉,创造现代化的建筑,是建筑工作者必须思考的问题之一。近年来开封市在改革开放战略的带动下,建设了不少与古城相协调的建筑,如仿宋一条街,仿古商业市场,以及中山北路新建的折衷式建筑(檐口帖古建筑符号)等,使古城开封增添了新的古色古香,另外也建了不少现代流行的建筑,如开封古城内的模范商场,马道街的百货大楼,东城区某宾馆,西城区市政府建筑群,这些建筑给开封输进了新的血液,有较强的时代感。新建
