Nanjing Deaf School is located on the picturesque Ming Yu River - 32 Royal Road. Formerly known as blind dumb Nanjing School, founded in 1927, is China’s first national special education school. Nanjing deaf high school was commissioned by the State Board of Education and the Chinese Disabled Persons Federation was founded in 1992, is the country’s first deaf ordinary senior high school. The current principal Sun Rongbao. The school has hearing and speech rehabilitation centers for deaf children, primary schools, junior secondary schools, vocational secondary schools and ordinary high schools, and comprehensively implements rehabilitation, education and vocational and technical training for students. With the care and support of the party and the government, after years of hard work, the foundation for school development has become more solid.
