The mortality rate of children under 5 years of age is one of the important indicators in “Outline of Women Development in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (2001-2010)” and “Outline of Children Development in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (2001-2010)”. In the past 6 years, the infant mortality rate, the neonatal mortality rate and the mortality rate of children under 5 years old in Altay Prefecture fluctuated between 20 ‰ and 25 ‰, maintaining a relatively low level compared with the death rate of children under 5 in Xinjiang. this
