热砂问题对铸造工作者来说是众所周知的,不同的铸造车间采用不同的冷却方法。具有固定铁砂比的自动、半自动大批量生产的车间,砂温是处于稳定状态的,但在铁砂比变动量较大的车间里,就变成需要进行控制的具有最高温度的间歇热砂。本文介绍的液氮冷却技术是由英国BOC公司和JC公司(Jones & Campbell Limited)联合设计,并已在JC公司投入生产。该系统使用液态氮作为冷却介质,只是在砂温达到最高时才需要开启使用。用本方法可以控制送至造型机的型砂温度处于恒定值。
The issue of hot sand is well known to foundry workers, and different foundries use different cooling methods. With automatic, semi-automatic, mass-production workshops with a fixed ratio of iron and sand, the temperature of the sand is stable but in the workshop with larger variations of iron and sand the intermittent hot sand with the highest temperature to be controlled. The liquid nitrogen cooling technology presented in this paper was jointly designed by the British company BOC and Jones (Jones & Campbell Limited) and has been put into production at JC. The system uses liquid nitrogen as a cooling medium, but only needs to be turned on when the sand temperature reaches its maximum. This method can be used to control the temperature of molding sand sent to the molding machine at a constant value.
