葛雪和是淮阴县独立团(淮海4支队第10团)的侦察员,出生于1913年。抗战前,他曾在上海鞋匠铺当学徒,学了一手做鞋子的手艺。抗战爆发后,他从上海回到淮阴,并于1939年10月参加革命,1941年加入共产党。因为他在家排行老大,所以大家都以“大皮匠”称呼他。1941年日军大“扫荡”以后,占领了棉花庄并修筑炮楼。葛雪和接受了在棉花庄一带收集情报的任务,他背上“皮匠”行头,走街串巷,收集情报。一天,葛雪和正在给人修鞋时,一个人前来向他问路并打听情况,这个倒霉鬼怎么也想象不
Ge Xue and Huaiyin County Independence Corps (Huaihai Detachment 10 Regiment) scout, was born in 1913.
