当时间老人把我们引领到21世纪的门槛前,不管我们心态如何,准备是否充分,我们都得迈过这道门槛,走进新世纪。区别在于是主动走,还是被动行。新世纪是传承中创新的世纪。我们有理由为20世纪取得的出版辉煌而自豪,更有责任继承发扬过去的长处和好传统。妄自菲薄是缺乏自知之明的表现,也不可能做出任何真正意义上的创新。网络时代的基本特征之一是人们的视野日益扩大而世界显得日益狭小。在我们做新世纪畅想的时候,必须彻底改变既往的视野定式,必须时刻睁大眼睛,用新的视野充实我们思维着的精神。
Before the elderly lead us to the threshold of the 21st century, no matter how mentally prepared and adequately prepared we are, we have to step through this threshold and walk into the new century. The difference is that take the initiative to go or be passive. The new century is the century of inheritance and innovation. We have reason to be proud of the brilliant publishing made in the twentieth century and more responsible for the inheritance and development of past strengths and good traditions. Self-defeat is a manifestation of a lack of self-knowledge, it is impossible to make any real sense of innovation. One of the basic characteristics of the Internet age is that people’s vision is expanding and the world is becoming narrower and narrower. As we make our imagination in the new century, we must completely change our vision of the past and we must always open our eyes and enrich our mindset with new horizons.
