Transmission of 2.5Gbit / s Ultra-High Speed Data with Slow-Aperture Plastic Optical Fibers Nippon Electric Company and Keio University recently succeeded in the world in transferring 2.5Gbit / s ultra-high speed data using high-speed plastic optical fiber. The plastic optical fiber used in the experiment was developed by Koike Keihiro in 1992 and is called as slow-change plastic optical fiber with a length of 100m. The light source adopts Japan Electric Company.
