习语是一个民族语言词汇中最为丰富,最为闪光的部分。习语的处理是否得当,直接影响着词典编纂的质量。但在一些英汉语文词典中并未对其引起重视,忽略了习语的细致处理。本文从习语的基本概念入手,分析了英语习语在英汉语文词典中的宏观处理和微观处理。鉴于习语的特殊性,本文认为应根据词典编纂的目的认真考虑习语的确立,选择和排列,同时建议借鉴国外词典的优秀成果,在英汉语文词典中重视且提供更多的有关习语的语法搭配,语用信息和文化背景信息。
Idioms are the most abundant and flashy part of a national language vocabulary. The proper handling of idioms directly affects the quality of dictionary compilation. However, some English-Chinese language dictionaries did not pay much attention to it, ignoring the detailed treatment of idioms. This article starts with the basic concepts of idioms and analyzes the macroscopic and micro-processing of English idioms in English-Chinese language dictionaries. In view of the idiosyncrasy of the idioms, this paper thinks that the establishment, selection and arrangement of idioms should be carefully considered according to the purpose of dictionary compilation. At the same time, it is suggested to draw lessons from the outstanding achievements of idioms in foreign dictionaries and pay more attention to idioms in idioms and provide more idioms related to idioms Grammar collocation, pragmatic information and cultural background information.
