程千帆教授辞世后,他的友人、弟子写了许多回忆文章,收在《程千帆先生纪念文集》中,我读后感慨很深。近一段时间,舆论在讨论高校学术纯洁问题,多年来让人大伤脑筋的学术道德问题终于引起认真关注。当此之际,重读程千帆事迹,为学界有这样的表率而感欣慰。程千帆先生晚年执教南京大学,以十几年的时间,培养硕士9名(一说近20名)、博士10名,——这个数字,远不及现在一些普通院校“博导”
After Professor Cheng Qianfan passed away, his friends and disciples wrote a lot of memory articles and collected them in the Memorial Collection of Mr. Cheng Qianfan. In recent days, the media has been discussing the problem of academic purity in colleges and universities. The issue of academic ethics that has caused great headaches over the years has finally caused serious concern. At this juncture, rereading the story of Qianfan’s sailors is of great value to the academic community. Mr. Cheng Qianfan coached Nanjing University in his later years. With a dozen of years, he trained 9 master’s (say nearly 20) and 10 Ph.D., far less than some ordinary colleges and universities.
