王一川的《文学理论》在中西文论对话与比较的基础上,以“兴辞论”为核心,打通中外文论,实现中学为体、西学为用的目标。然而书中有些地方的理论阐释稍显单薄和乏力,反映了“兴辞论”的理论局限性。具体表现为:兴辞性不能涵盖汉语文学语言的复联性;文学媒介的阐释也应以中国传统文化和文学理论为根据;兴辞在文学创作和文学阅读批评中的应用需适可而止。
On the basis of the dialogue and comparison between Chinese and Western literary theories, Wang Yi-chuan’s “Literary Theory” focuses on “Xing Ci Lun” as the core, and aims to open up the theory of both Chinese and foreign literary and to make the middle school serve as the body and the western learning. However, the theoretical explanations in some parts of the book are slightly weaker and weaker, reflecting the theoretical limitations of “Xing Ci Lun”. The concrete manifestation is that the rhetoric can not cover the relativities of the Chinese literary languages; the interpretation of the literary media should also be based on the Chinese traditional culture and literary theory; and the application of phrasing in literary creation and literary reading criticism is over.
