经济活动的规律并不象天体运转周期那样准确,因为其中存在有极为重要的突发性的影响,如经济制裁、军事冲突、自然灾害以及大的政治性变动之类的重大事件的影响。有的经济周期性变化,如四年前开始并持续至今的世界性经济周期变化,其周期有延长的趋势;另一些经济周期性变化,如从1980年到1981年出现在美国的经济周期,则极为短暂。关于经济周期性变化在世界范围扩展的问题,有时是与经济发展同时进行的,有时又需要经过一段时间后才逐渐扩展开来。
