1991年7月1日,来自30多个国家和地区的130多位世界名人聚集在加拿大多伦多市的威斯顿酒店,出席由英国剑桥国际中心和美国国际传记协会联合主办的世界名人大会——第18届国际文化交流大会。会上,香港南源永芳集团董事长姚美良的讲演,在与会的世界名人中引起强烈反响。他呼吁,各民族的实业家们与艺术家们携起手来,通过弘扬各民族的文化,通过开发落后地区,促进人类文明的发展。
On July 1, 1991, more than 130 world famous celebrities from 30 countries and regions gathered in the Weston Hotel in Toronto, Canada to attend the World Celebrity Convention jointly organized by Cambridge International Center and the American Society of Biologists - The 18th International Cultural Exchange Conference. At the meeting, a speech by Yao Meiliang, chairman of Hong Kong’s Nanyuan Yongfang Group, aroused strong repercussions among the world famous people attending the meeting. He called upon industrialists from all ethnic groups to work together with artists to promote the development of human civilization through the development of backward regions through the promotion of the cultures of all ethnic groups.
