上海是我国重要的经济、科技、教育文化中心,在上海市2010年发展的远景规划中已把现代生物技术与医药产业作为新兴产业和新的经济生长点,发展生物医药产业离不了生物学基础研究的长期积累,特别是作为一个经济基础还很薄弱的发展中的国家,不可能靠投入巨额外汇去买一个“新兴产业”,唯一的一个投入少、产出效益好的途径,是保证生物学、医学信息长期、稳定地储备和开发,以此形成具有中国特色的生物学基础
Shanghai is an important economic, technological, educational and cultural center in our country. Shanghai has taken modern biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry as a new industry and a new economic growth point in the long-term plan for the development of Shanghai in 2010. Developing biomedical industry can not afford biological basis. Long-term accumulation of research, especially as a developing country whose economic foundation is still very weak, can not rely on investing huge amounts of foreign exchange to buy an “emerging industry.” The only way to invest less and produce better returns is to ensure that biological Learning, medical information long-term, stable reserves and development, in order to form a biological basis with Chinese characteristics
