According to industry journals, Columbine Chemical (Weifang) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Bora Group of India, and Coronet Dongdong Carbon Co., Ltd. jointly set up Columbine Chemical Co., Ltd. to build a carbon black plant with an annual output of 240,000 t. The total investment is about 152 million US dollars, of which 80% of Indian-funded. The project will be divided into two phases with a project investment of 99.45 million U.S. dollars and an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of carbon black. The project is expected to start operation in October 2015; an investment of 52.71 million U.S. dollars in the second phase and an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of carbon black are expected in 2017 Put into operation in October.
