Safe blood can save lives, and unsafe blood can harm health. Although countries currently use techniques such as pathogen detection and virus inactivation of blood, the scientific and technological level as well as the cost of detection cannot fully rule out the risk of known blood-borne diseases or the risk of unknown emerging infectious diseases. The collection of safe blood sources from low-risk groups remains an important prerequisite for safe blood transfusions. The choice of blood donors for blood safety includes multiple strategies, such as blood donor educational materials, blood donors health consultation, targeted physical examination, blood transfusion-transmission disease testing, post-blood donation information collection and feedback, among which blood donor health consultation
