尝稽史策地震之事,三代以前所罕闻者.自汉以后,代代有之.从未闻有若元之大德七年、明之嘉靖三十四年、隆庆五年及今康熙三十四年如此之甚者也.考元之大德七年八月初六日戌时地震,本路一境房屋尽皆塌坏,压死人口二十七万有余,地震频频不止,直至十一年乃定;再考明嘉靖三十四年十二月十二日亥时地震,蒲州墙垣倒塌,地震数十余次;隆庆五年地震,蒲、解二州倒塌房屋十分,襄陵等处止 二分,地震昼夜不止.若今康熙三十四年之地震较元之世稍轻,较明之时又似略重,何也?本年四月初六日戌时地震,本府并东关城垣崩圯,官衙民舍神佛庙宇一概塌毁,压死男妇二万有奇.有阖门尽毙不留一人者.浮山、洪洞亦然.本县城内并三关亦然.阖县共压死男妇七千有奇,牲畜无数.惟本庄稍轻,本庄倒塌房屋百有余间,其未倒者墙垣俱坏,压死男妇二十余人.地震历有数月,昼夜不止.村内三圣楼卧倒,村外玉皇庙(塌)献殿三间,老君庙塌献殿五间,关帝庙塌舞厅三间.今因三圣居村之中心且为一庄之保障,先议修葺,因备述其端末以识之.大清康熙三十四年十月朔旦
